Rapport Building
I like to work from a place of trust - between me and the parents. At the same time, my focus is on building a good chemistry between the student and I. I find this to be the key success to the students' looking forward to my lessons. I have come to treat many of my tutees and even their families almost like extended family, as a result of the relationship we have built over the years.

While grades are important, it is difficult for me to motivate students to study harder for the sake of grades alone. Hence my first mission with new students is to find out what their personal passions and dreams are - whether it is a specific course or school, or even a specific occupation. These are like the keys that, once unlocked, become the main fuel within them that makes them want to put in the extra effort on their own, even when the results are initially discouraging. My job there is to provide the technical direction so that his/her efforts are focused on the right places and using the right methods, as well as to show my students that a poor performance on a particular test does not mean everything is over. Once I show them the ways they can improve in as well as the places they have done well in, they become more motivated to do better.

Teaching is an art to me that I have been practising over the past years. Looking back, I have come a long way and I have seen this bear fruit in the results of my students. My greatest joy, as mentioned before, is always when my students are happy with what they have achieved and when the results can bring them where they want.

      As a Good Tutor
I am passionate and dedicated in coaching students in various subjects. It is always my interest in sharing tips with students how to excel in exams by not just studying hard but studying smart.

One of my ways of teaching is to provide self-prepared notes to students that I have consolidated based on my knowledge and experience as well as referring to other reference books and exam questions. I always believe that it is very crucial o expose students to variety way of understanding the content and prepare them with variable possible exam topics.

I am a fun teacher, other than coaching in an academic way, I will always like to add some funs into the teaching session to make it an interesting and less tedious one so that students will like it. I always believe that this is the most important element in life especially when it comes to study -- if you want to excel in one subject, you must first love it.

Education is not preparation for life, but it's life itself. While theory is important, I also help students connect it to the world. Being a full-time tutor for more than 4 years, I have accumulated a lot of experience tutoring students from different backgrounds, different schools, different learning capabilities, different characters, different strengths and weaknesses. I am capable of knowing how students think and learn. Every student is unique. By devising new strategy with students, it helps them to grow into a responsible and self-discipline person. My classes are quite intensive, but students enjoy my classes as I will always add some funs into the teaching session so as to make it an interesting and less tedious one. I always believe that this is the most important element in life especially when it comes to study -- if you want to excel in one subject, you must first love it.
