Rapport Building
With encouragement;
And non judgemental conversation. Our best teacher is our last mistake, so never fear stumbling forward. Never give up and you will improve. Every little effort is progress.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
Textbooks are a good guide.
I usually teacher a chapter or two in advance so the student is prepared for school.
As a Good Tutor
The hallmark of a good teacher is being able to adapt the lessons to meet the needs of the weakest student. We also need to keep material fresh, with prior research and evolving reference material. Everybody has the right to learn at their own pace, and one must tailor the approach accordingly. The needs of the student come first.
