Rapport Building: I have recently completed by full-time national service and as such, is still able to remember and teach the current curriculum. I am able to connect personally to children of most ages, especially so with the older one (13-18 years). I am able to understand their difficulties and their lapses in knowledge, and patch up the gaps to build their confidence in the subject slowly. After they are confident in the concepts, they would be more willing to learn and improvements will definitely be made after time.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I am a part-time tutor and as such, am constantly exposed to a variety of subjects at many level (e.g. A Lvls, O lvls, PSLE). I am constantly updating myself with the most relevant materials to the ever-changing syllabus such that I am best able to provide assistance and knowledge to my students.

As a Good Tutor: I believe patience and persistence is the key to every child's success. If I am able to breakthrough a child through increasing his confidence, I am confident in his/her future ability to be disciplined and the make improvements to his work. I am also extremely friendly, and many students will find it easy to talk to me, which I believe is important in a 1 on 1 setting as the child has to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning from the tutor.
