I have 10 years of teaching students in Maths, English and Chinese, some of them from top schools such as Raffles Institution and St. Nicholas Girls' School.
I believe that patience and a friendly disposition is important in building rapport with students. I'll build rapport with parents through regular communication with them e.g. updating them about their child's progress and also finding out about their child's performance in school and which areas to work on.
