Tuition/Teaching Experience
I do not really have prior experience, but have mentored primary school children before. I like children and I'm friendly! I would love to see them learn and improve under my patient teaching!
I can start in December and I can commit for at least one year!
Rapport Building
I will have a whatsapp/telegram group with the student and parent to answer any queries needed. I can also try to reach class earlier or stay back for awhile if the parent or student wishes to talk/receive feedback/updates.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I will check the MOE website and visit bookstores to look at current school textbook/workbook and assessment books.
As a Good Tutor
I think a good tutor should also focus on the mental well-being of the student and developing the child as a whole, instead of only focusing on achieving academic excellence, although results are also important. Also, being encouraging and patient will also help the student be more open to asking questions and not be afraid to try. Being responsible for the student's results and pushing the student to revise and do his/her homework is also very important.
