I find it important to motivate my students by communicating well with them and providing assistance when needed, as well as by encouraging them to pursue their interests (i.e I will find ways to engage them with the subject material).
Keeping Up with Curriculum
As a current student in RJC, I remain very cognizant of the O level and A level curriculm. Furthermore, as I am currently tutoring my younger brother (primary school), I am also in touch with the PSLE curriculum.
As a Good Tutor
As a tutor, I will respond to my students’ needs as best as I can — ofttimes, I feel that students struggle at subjects because they feel that they cannot score well and therefore lose interest. I will aim to bring back this interest by targeting key areas of the subject where the student can improve in, and by providing a positive guiding environment for my students to grow in.
