Commitment / Other Details
I am able to start as soon as possible. I am currently also looking for a full time job, and thus prefer to have lessons on weekends (Sat after 330pm, Sunday any time).
Rapport Building
I normally give feedback to the students directly, and also to the parents (minimally once every month), to let them know what is going on for the lessons. I let the students do some assignments and chat a bit for the first few lessons to have a gauge on their standard before adjusting the speed and difficulty of the lesson.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I check with my aunt who is a Chinese teacher in a primary school, keep myself updated also via google, and via parents and students' direct feedback.
As a Good Tutor
I think that a good tutor is one who works to teach and push the student to work harder.
