Rapport Building: I have good people skills. With my students, I tend emphatise with them and understand their challenges in school. Once in a while, I will also try to check in on their stress in order to make sure that they don't feel burnt out.
With parents, I will try to understand what their expectations are for my student and how we can set necessary goals to achieve them.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I keep myself update by looking through the syllabus outline once in a while. I also tutor my Secondary School brother at home and hence am able to keep in touch with the content taught. I also have my JC notes that I have kept that I can reference if needed.

As a Good Tutor: Being patient is essential in order to understand the learning level and type that my student has.
Being flexible is also a basic quality in order to adapt to new content or to a new students.

I will also consult the materials provided by the student's school as I believe it is important for the student to have a firm grasp of what is going on at school, outside of tutoring sessions.

As a Good Tutor: I believe good tutors are able to inspire the student that they can make it, and guide them along their journey to get their desired grades.
The most important factor to a student doing well is their belief that they can actually do well if they continue putting in the hard work in the right places.
