Tuition/Teaching Experience
I have been tutoring students since 2012. I have also taught P1 to 6 English, Chinese, Maths and Science in student care centre.
I was a receiver of the MOE Merit Bursary Awards since Secondary One (from 2006 to 2011) for being one of the top performers, achieving good results in school consistently. In fact, I was one of the top scorers for GCE O level in my secondary school.
I have great passion for Chinese, which made me take H2 Chinese Literature in JC and major Chinese course in NTU. I have also been scoring A for my Chinese papers. I enjoy learning Chinese language, history and culture, and passing these knowledge to my students. I have great passion in teaching Chinese and I hope I can get my students to enjoy Chinese and improve their Chinese.
In these 5 years, I have tutored a number of foreign students from Myanmar, Philippines, Malaysia, etc. I enjoy teaching them Chinese and see how they have improved Chinese with their efforts. Many of them are seen to score B in PSLE, even though they used to fail in schools. At the same time, it is always fun to share some Chinese history and culture with them.
I have also tutored a number of Normal Academic students in Maths, Science and Chinese. One of these students had even promoted to express stream. Most of them scored a C or D in PSLE Maths/ Science, but showed great improvements to A1-B4 in their secondary Maths/ Science paper.
