Patience is one of my virtues, and I would do my best to help students understand concepts. I would try to use different methods and analogies to help illustrate concepts to help them visualise, and thus understand better. I try to not use a 'top-down' process to teach, but instead I do my best to explain the ideas to them like how a friend would. This method sometimes allow students to absorb and understand and remember the theories more easily. I would sometimes incorporate humour while teaching concepts, which may also help them remember certain concepts more easily.
I feel that being a student myself, I would be able to emphathise and interact with the students better, as compared to other tutors who may be much older than myself. This is because older tutors may portray that teacher image to certain students, similar to a school setting. Being younger, my presence may give them lesser stress, and could be like a friend to them instead of a teacher. This might be better as sometimes students may pay more attention and show more interest to a friend-like image instead of a teacher-like image.
