Commitment / Other Details
Schedule is flexible during summer break. Will be able to commit to an assignment as long as the schedule is open to change when uni starts in august.
Rapport Building
I am a very casual person who likes to make the mundane things in life interesting. I can draw well and frequently make use of drawings and colours to explain complicated concepts to my peers. I have also been told that I explain things well in a way that piques interest in a topic. I am also well-mannered and have good EQ so I will ensure that I stay educated on current topics to carry out engaging yet respectful conversations with both my potential students and their parents.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I look up past year papers and curriculum online. My currently course of study (Biology and 2nd Major in Biomedical Structural Biology) is also highly relevant to the subjects I am offering to teach (Bio/Chem). Hence, I will be able to keep up well with what I teach.
As a Good Tutor
A good tutor addresses any issues a student might have with their subjects, be it requiring more practice or needing further help understanding a concept. If done well, these would result in better grades and increased interest in their subject. Going beyond just pulling up grades, a good tutor would also aim to inspire their student to appreciate their field of study and give them opportunities to expand their interest in the topic creatively.
