Ex-MOE Geography and English Literature teacher of 6 years as well as two years experience teaching English in Japan. Previous relief teaching experience in RI.
Available for tuition after 25th August for lessons and from now for online sessions. I am available at least until March next year for tuition, further sessions will depend on time.
Rapport Building
As a trained teacher I am used to keeping short written reports on my students to chart their progress which I am more than happy to share with the parents. I am available for discussions with the parents and hope that they will also give me their support in helping their child.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I only left the service 2 years ago and I still am up to date with the current Geography and English Literature syllabus. I am also still in contact with ex-colleagues who give me updates on curriculum changes.
As a Good Tutor
A good tutor should be customize their lessons to help target a student's weakness and to push them further in the areas they excel in where possible. At the same time, the students should be able to find some enjoyment in their lessons and want to know more. I have experience with a range of students of different abilities and interests so I believe I am able to tailor my sessions to help them do their best to perform well for the national examinations.
