Commitment / Other Details
As now, I'm taking a gap year and to gain more work experience, I am able to commit long-term until 2024 August.
Rapport Building
I will first talk to the parents to understand their worries and then talk to the students to understand their learning methods while give advices on how they can work on it. Not only that, I do message my students to ask about their well-being and progress in terms of their studies, and sometimes learning more about their goals in life other than just academics. Sometimes, I would buy some treats for my students to encourage them to work harder on their studies.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
As a Good Tutor
Making lessons engaging is the basic quality of good tutors, as lessons can be dry from time to time. As such, building up the interest of students in learning is of paramount importance in terms of becoming better in their academics and their crave for knowledge, since lifelong learning is an essential habit in order to survive in the working society. Secondly, patience is another important virtue for tutors. As students can be confused when learning new topics that can rather hard to grasp at first, thus tutors have to be more patient in terms of repeating themselves or find other methods to help their students in their learning. Lastly, passion. Tutors should be passionate about teaching as their attitude towards teaching can have a big impact on their students' learning - whether or not it makes them look forward to wanting to know more about the subjects.
