Rapport Building: I see myself as a patient and empathetic tutor. When students are facing difficulties in understanding, I will explore different ways to explain from other angles. I always prioritise to cater to the needs of the student, by seeking to understand each of their unique requests and what is the best way, in their opinion, for me to add value to their knowledge.

After each tutor session, I will spend some time to talk with the parents, updating them on the student's progress as well as what they can do to help the student learn more effectively (eg.acquire skills to study efficiently or change the attitude of studying)

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I read The Straits Times daily to keep up with current affairs, in order to provide high quality and up-to-date examples for my students. This includes reading through forums to understand different perspectives of global issues.

I keep myself familiarised with the new GP Syllabus (especially for P2 Comprehension) by getting different school papers from my juniors.
