- as I have just graduated for junior college, I am extremely familiar with the syllabus for all the subjects that I have studied (especially for Economics and Geography)
- for secondary school, I would read through the syllabus for the subject and ensure that I cover every single topic that is in the syllabus
As a Good Tutor
- I think that a good tutor is a patient tutor, who does not get angry at the student despite the student having the chance of not being to understand the topic
- as a tutor, it is also important to be hardworking and diligently prep class materials such as notes and extra practices so as to avoid being messy and unorganised during the lesson itself and able to feel accomplished when class goals are being met
- furthermore, a good tutor is also one that understands the student's progress and always checking in to ensure that the student is following the lesson well and ensure that he/she is not lagging behind and having absolutely no idea what the tutor is saying

    I like to take 15-20 mins to get to know the student on the first lesson to benefit both student, parents and myself. This helps moving forward into actual tuition curriculum to help student learn in various ways that theh are comfortable with. I take it a responsibility to update parents on the student's progress as well as improvements to be made, every lesson if possible. As a young teacher, I believe it will be more easy going for students to made a connection with me to feel comfortable learning from me, ensuring a productive and fun session.
    Keeping Up with Curriculum
    Comkng from local schools, I am aware of the fast pace of schools and importance of tests and examinations.I am able to ensure the student completes homework as well as gets extra revision. I may assign extra work from additional books if required, although usually working with the student's school and personal material is sufficient. I make it a point to give the student tuition homework to complete within a decided timing. Closer to tests or exams, I will increase the load of homework as well as revision practices in order to train students for it. However, I am able to communicate with the student to get feedback to speed up, slow down or make changes to our tuition pace
    As a Good Tutor
    I will make sure the student is feeling comfortable and enjoys the lesson while engaging their minds to think critically and to work on their shortcomings to ace tests and examinations with a clear mind and confidence.
