As a tutor, i believe that patience is a very important attribute when it comes to teaching.           Before giving my word of commitment, i would like to assess the student's performance and have a chat with the student's parents to understand expectations. Due to my young age of 20, i would consider myself still very attuned to the education system, and still being a student, i understand the struggles and challenges students face. I would be approaching the tutoring more as a friend which the student would be eager to learn from. My main goal for tutoring would be more of a practical which is to score in examinations.
          Keeping Up with Curriculum
          Having siblings still in the education system, i would be abe to gain materials and insight on the current syllabus. I also equip myself with current guidebooks and assesment books to impart relevant materials to my students. I would also make use of student's personal school syllabus and alter my teaching accordingly so as to reduce confusion and thus promoting understand and provide the student with more leverage over the others.
          As a Good Tutor
          In my opinion, a good tutor firstly should be passionate. Being a current student of many years, the first thing i can see exude from a teacher is his or her passion. A teacher with no drive and motivation will only yield students of the same most of time. Considering how i am young and new in the realm, i believe my passion is at its all time high and beyond that, i am able to empathise for myself what makes me respect and want to listen to a particular teacher.
          Secondly, a tutor must be understandind. Each student is unique, with their own level of understanding, way of engaging and learning, hence to create the most condusive learning environment would be to adopt a understanding mindset and not be dismissive towards anything i am unfamiliar with. Rather understand it and try to improve it. Every student's pace would also be different thus a teacher should not compare with others and make the student feel down, when the student is already reaching out for help from an external tutor.
          Last but not least, a tutor must have patience.
