As you can see from my Education Portfolio, I have great interest and passion in Design, something I chose to pursue and excelled over the years. However, being able to teach and help students is also one of my aspiration.

I believe that education is not just about grade(s), but also to truly understand the purpose of education - bringing knowledge into practice; in turn build a strong foundation for the young ones. This is why I had decided to commit in teaching, at the same time, lending a helping hand to the parents.

I am an experienced tutor who started off with part-time tutoring to full-time today. Before entering uni, I have also worked full time as a Child Care teacher. Parents are generally happy and comfortable by handing their children to me.

    The aim of the class is to boost confidence in students when it comes to solving problem sums. As we all understand, it is a heavy weightage component that one must and should excel to do well. The class seeks to strengthen one's foundation and comprehend the true beauty of problem sums.

    Of course, together, we will be still working towards the analogy of "Practice makes perfect!" Practice questions will be given based on the topics ongoing in school and the material used would come from both Past Year Examination Papers as well as onSponge Conquer Problem Sum Assessment Book. With practice and full comprehension of problem sum, we look forward to enjoying the subject and achieve greater improvements! :)

      Course Description:
      The aim of the class is to build a strong foundation in Science. Understanding science concept may be simple, but applying it accurately could be a challenge. The class would touch base on two factors 1. Understanding Topic/Concept 2. Applying it accurately.

      Similar to Math, "Practice Makes Perfect" would come into place. Exposure to Science questions is important, especially MCQ (60marks). We will be working a lot on past year practice papers (or even up the game to PSLE questions, just to get one comfortable and curious about things around.) :)

        I graduated from Raffles Junior College in 2006 with Special Papers in Physics and Mathematics, and from NUS in 2014 with a degree in Physics and minor in Mathematics. I had also been awarded the DSTA Scholarship back in 2008. I am now a full-time tutor, specializing in teaching Physics and Mathematics at the Upper Secondary and JC level.                 I can start as soon as possible and can commit at least for the full period that the student needs. As long as the student wishes to continue under me, I would be able to commit.
                Rapport Building
                I talk with the students about the current subjects and help them with their homework. I also talk with my tutees some practical applications of the knowledge and some jokes. For the parents, I do update the parents at least once per month or more depending on the availability of the parents.
                Keeping Up with Curriculum
                The curriculum for O levels, A levels, IGCSE and IB are all found on the websites. I read these syllabus frequently and note any changes.
                As a Good Tutor
                I felt that being patient and meticulous are qualities that a successful home tutor should have. A successful home tutor should also have the skill to know when a child is struggling and thus know when to help the child.
