Tutoring Subjects

Rapport Building: I try to maintain ongoing communication with both the student and the parents. This means discussing with the student which topics they would like to cover beforehand and giving them adequate information to prepare for the lesson, as well as so that i can prepare the appropriate lesson material. I also keep the parents updated on the strength & weaknesses of their child, and I try to help the parents understand what they can do to help their child progress on their own.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: If there are major changes in the curriculum as compared to when I studied it, I tend to use the resources that the students already have including their own lecture notes, assessment books etc.

As a Good Tutor: A good tutor is patient and willing to personalise the lesson to each individual student. Everyone has a different style of learning and a different level of motivation, and it is the tutor's job to help the child realise their full potential while making sure they do not suffer undue stress.
