Commitment / Other Details
I am able to start immediately and will be able to commit long-term to an assignment, but would prefer if the sessions do not exceed four hours per week.
Rapport Building
I think it's important for there to be a common understanding, and that is crucial in building rapport. If possible, I would have an open conversation with students and their parents about the outcomes that they would like to see from the tuition assignment (eg; to score A, to pass, to maintain grades, etc).

When that has been established, I think it is important to provide both students and parents with periodical updates on how the student is progressing towards that goal.

However, this is not a one-size-fits-all approach and would still need to be adjusted accordingly depending on the particular student or parents.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
Apart from being well-informed on the current SEAB syllabus which the examinations will be based on, I will also be referring to notes and curriculums from current students. By doing so, I can be better updated on the curriculum as there have been several changes to the syllabus of some examinable subjects.
As a Good Tutor
I strongly believe that a good tutor is someone who is able to guide their students, and understands that there cannot be a fixed approach to tutoring because every student is different in terms of their strengths and weaknesses. Speaking from experience, I also think that a good tutor is someone who is willing to guide their student towards their desired goal by teaching and helping them learn, instead of simply providing answers.

Furthermore, a good tutor is someone who can make learning enjoyable for the student by teaching the curriculum in a way that interests the student. Whether it be covering concepts or going through guiding questions, the tutor should do so in a way that is engaging and students should not dread coming for tuition.

Parent/Student Comments
She is very helpful in guiding my daughter who is doing much better now in understanding the subjects she has difficulties with. The tutor's way of teaching is efficient and my daughter is always looking forward to learn from her.
