I've tutored before through volunteer work and I love it! I want to have the opportunity to tutor more. I'm very passionate about Mathematics & Science and want to share my passion with my students :)

Commitment / Other Details
I'm studying full time in SP (nutrition, health and wellness). I can start anytime and I'm able to commit. From October 2021 onwards I will be having my internship and my schedule will be tighter.
Rapport Building
I will always talk to my student first to know what problems he faced in school. I will record down student's progress and update their parents every lesson by Whatsapp, so it's easier to keep track. I think that it is important to build a good relationship between me and the student as it plays a big role in helping them in their studies (they will be more open in communicating). It is important that the child has confidence in himself. I almost had to retain in secondary 3 with L1R5 of 37. I worked really hard. My L1R5 improved to 24 for prelims and I scored L1R5 13 for O-levels. Through this time, I motivate myself and got through it. I believe that my student will be able to improve through my guidance. If I can do it, so can my student!
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I will search up the syllabus and what topics are tested. I make sure that the year published is the latest. I will focus on each individual topic with the student and especially those they are weak in.
As a Good Tutor
Be open-minded and always listen to the student's opinions and be more receptive. Being able to adapt well is important as every student has different methods of learning. A good tutor should be friendly yet at the same time able to gain respect from the students so that they will listen. A good tutor should also be updated with the latest news from MOE and tell the parents.
