Many years of experience as a form teacher allowed me to understand and work well with primary school students. I am also able to form a good partnership with parents due to my experience in communicating with parents.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I attended numerous workshops/trainings and have also conducted workshops/sharing sessions with teachers and parents. I have also taken part in Math PSLE marking exercises throughout my years of teaching and also math & science marking exercises during school exams.
As a Good Tutor
My main focus is to build confidence in the child. Once the child is more confident, he/she would be more motivated to learn. I believe that intrinsic motivation is a very powerful tool for learning to take place.
I also aim to build a good rapport with my students so that there is good teacher-student communication.
The other important thing is that I give regular updates to parents - whether there is an area of improvement or there is something worthy of praise.
