Rapport Building: My students enjoyed interacting and sharing with me as they say I always take a keen and genuine interest in what is happening to them, both in class and beyond.

I would constantly try to source for creative and innovative ways to engage students' learning of the subject like using trigger activity to hook their attention and infusing stories, jokes and puzzles to sustain their interest. My own teaching philosophy is to promote independent and active learning through the use of inquiry-based approaches. During my years of teaching Maths and POA, I try to promote such learning through the use of learning trails, self-reflection through journaling and open-ended questions that elicit multiple responses.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: Even after leaving school, I continue to hone my teaching by providing private tutoring. I would constantly search for teaching related websites to look for interesting teaching resources that I could use. I also keep abreast with the latest educational research and pedagogy by reading up and subscribing to electronic educational publication.

As a Good Tutor: A good tutor should be able to engage the student and adapt their teaching to suit the different learning style and needs of the students.
