Commitment / Other Details
I am able to start immediately, and can commit for at least 1 year for weekend classes.
Weekday classes can also be done, but timings may have to be adjusted based on my timetable.
Rapport Building
When starting a tutorship position, I like to get to know the student's struggles and aims before starting on any formal teaching. If the student is still young, I will also consult their parents to get to know what they expect from me, and what they want their child to achieve.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I will typically look through the subject's textbook and past year papers to have a general understanding of what the learning objectives are.
I will also consult the materials provided by the student's school as I believe it is important for the student to have a firm grasp of what is going on at school, outside of tutoring sessions.
As a Good Tutor
I believe good tutors are able to inspire the student that they can make it, and guide them along their journey to get their desired grades.
The most important factor to a student doing well is their belief that they can actually do well if they continue putting in the hard work in the right places.
