Commitment / Other Details
I am able to start giving tuition by November this year and have to stop around July. I am only interested in giving 1-on-1 sessions instead of group sessions as I find 1-on-1 sessions more efficient
Rapport Building
I would normally speak to the parents about their child's personality. Since there is such a wide range of learners, understanding the personality and learning type of the child that I am teaching would help me customize the lessons that I bring to them. Doing so, I would be able to make lessons with every child engaging and informative. I would also ask the children about their learning experience in school to get a better insight on how their subject tutors in school teach and instill information to them. With that knowledge in mind, I can synchronize my lessons to the ones the children attend at school and help the children learn better not just at home but at school too.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I keep up with the curriculum by constantly practicing the subjects myself. In doing so, I am able to put myself in the mindset and position of a student, as a result I am able to better engage and teach my students.
As a Good Tutor
Personally I feel that a good tutor needs to pay attention to every student's personality and learning type. By doing that, the tutor would be able to relay information to the student and the student, in turn would learn better from the tutor. Furthermore, I believe a good tutor should craft his lessons carefully so that every minute of the lesson is not wasted. After all time is money and wasting the lesson time on unnecessary things would equate to wasting ones money.
