Rapport Building: I would talk to the student to find out his strengths and weaknesses are for the subject. I would talk to his parents too to find out about his learning style and his results in the past. From his practices and test papers or exam papers, I can assess his weaknesses too and improve them.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I would read up on the changes in curriculum either on MOE website or browse the textbooks at bookshops.I would also ask the students if there are upcoming changes in the future.

As a Good Tutor: Good tutors are punctual so that students and parents are not kept waiting. Tutors must identify the weaknesses and correct these weaknesses their students have so that the students can feel motivated once their results pick up.
Effective learning methods should also be imparted so that students do not feel frustrated about the lack of improvements.
Good tutors can inspire their students to get the best grades they can possibly get and the students are motivated to strive their best.

As a Good Tutor: I think that there is not enough significance placed on the actual understanding of many concepts by students, especially in science subjects. I will strive to ensure that the student will be able to answer different kinds of questions not based on understanding but rather an overarching understanding of the subject. With Physics being my strong suit, I am confident that I can guide the student through different questions and ideas with a simplified understanding.
