As a Good Tutor: I am an experienced current IP girl school teacher familiar with both the IP and O Level syllabus in Physics and Chemistry since I was sometimes deployed to teach the O Level SIP class in my school as well . Besides students from mainstream schools, I have also taught students from RI, RGS, HCI, MGS and St Nicks. In my 5 years of teaching, 80+% of my students have shown significant improvement, i.e. at least a 2 grade improvement (eg from C5/C6 to B3/B4 or B3/B4 to A1/A2) after 1 year under my guidance. Keeping Up with Curriculum: The subject I am teaching for Junior College is maths and the curriculum and the content stays the same regardless of changes in syllabus. I will study the syllabus to avoid teaching extra contents to benefit the students.
I am from China and am very familiar with the content taught in Chinese and Higher Chinese in secondary school.

As a Good Tutor: I think a good tutor is able to let the students find their own study method and make student study well afterwards with or without guidance. A good tutor is someone who find the students' weakness and prescribe the study methods accordingly. I will make my student fall in love with the subject he is studying by connecting the abstract concepts to reality. Also I will be patient when students encounter some problems and help students build a strong foundation and benefit him throughout lifetime instead of just focusing on the result.
