As a Good Tutor: I am an experienced current IP girl school teacher familiar with both the IP and O Level syllabus in Physics and Chemistry since I was sometimes deployed to teach the O Level SIP class in my school as well . Besides students from mainstream schools, I have also taught students from RI, RGS, HCI, MGS and St Nicks. In my 5 years of teaching, 80+% of my students have shown significant improvement, i.e. at least a 2 grade improvement (eg from C5/C6 to B3/B4 or B3/B4 to A1/A2) after 1 year under my guidance. My strong points are that I am easily able to develop strong rapport with my students and that I have a large resource pool of practice questions at my disposal.

Rapport Building: I will analyse the student's exam paper and let the student know what he lacks and what he is good at. Students can feel free to ask me any question on social media when there is no lesson on that day.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: The subject I am teaching for Junior College is maths and the curriculum and the content stays the same regardless of changes in syllabus. I will study the syllabus to avoid teaching extra contents to benefit the students.
I am from China and am very familiar with the content taught in Chinese and Higher Chinese in secondary school.

As a Good Tutor: I think a good tutor is able to let the students find their own study method and make student study well afterwards with or without guidance. A good tutor is someone who find the students' weakness and prescribe the study methods accordingly. I will make my student fall in love with the subject he is studying by connecting the abstract concepts to reality. Also I will be patient when students encounter some problems and help students build a strong foundation and benefit him throughout lifetime instead of just focusing on the result.
