    I have 1 year of experience in teaching Primary School students. I have volunteered as a tutor in Fireflyz Learning Center in my Junior College and aids primary school students from needy families in their school work. In my freshman year, i have taught two primary school students in their English and Chinese languages.

    I have developed a passion for teaching since i started helping my siblings in their school work, i feel a sense of accomplishment when they have improved in the studies. As an elder child in the family, i care for my younger siblings and will treat my students like my younger siblings too. I will definitely try my best in teaching and assisting them.

    I am able to start work within one week notice and able to commit a long term tuition assignment.
    Rapport Building
    For the students, usually i will start off with short activities or a little chit-chat to let me know more about my students. In the mean while, my students will also get to interact with me and are willing to tell me more about themselves. After the introduction, i will then begin the lesson.

    For the parents, i would often keep in contact with them through calls and messages. I will also summarize the work progress of their child for the day after every lesson so that the parents will know what and how their child did during the lesson.
    Keeping Up with Curriculum
    Usually before i take up the assignment, i will review the past year papers of the level my student is in. I will buy assessment books or prepare test papers for my students.
    As a Good Tutor
    I think the basic qualities of good tutors is to be patient, be knowlegeable in the subjects they teach, be effective and efficient in teaching and passing on the knowledge. Of course, the tutor must be approachable and friendly in order to build a good relationship with parents as well as students.
