    Besides tutoring, I will try to connect with tutees by having conversations with them to better gain their trust, and also understand their strengths, needs and concerns. I also believe it is crucial that we set small goals as stepping stones to achieve their ultimate aim, e.g. achieving a certain grade in the subject. I will also provide regular feedback to parents when necessary to ensure that parents are kept in the loop about their child's learning.
    Keeping Up with Curriculum
    I am currently a JC1 student who is very familiar with the recent O Level curriculum, especially for Science and Math subjects. Having been through the curriculum, I am aware of its demands and rigour, and I believe with my results, I will be able to guide tutees to effectively manage their revision and grasp critical concepts in preparing for tests and examinations.

    Patience and empathy are qualities that are of paramount importance. Besides providing support in the academic aspect, a good tutor should be encouraging and tirelessly guide students, not giving up on them throughout, until they can achieve mastery. Moreover, a tutor should be knowledgeable about the subject matter to effectively impart relevant knowledge to tutees.

      Making lessons engaging is the basic quality of good tutors, as lessons can be dry from time to time. As such, building up the interest of students in learning is of paramount importance in terms of becoming better in their academics and their crave for knowledge, since lifelong learning is an essential habit in order to survive in the working society. Secondly, patience is another important virtue for tutors. As students can be confused when learning new topics that can rather hard to grasp at first, thus tutors have to be more patient in terms of repeating themselves or find other methods to help their students in their learning. Lastly, passion. Tutors should be passionate about teaching as their attitude towards teaching can have a big impact on their students' learning - whether or not it makes them look forward to wanting to know more about the subjects.
