Rapport Building: Hi! I'm an alumnus of Raffles Institution (IP Programme) who joined top Science stream classes in secondary school and JC and scored 90 RP at A Levels.

Throughout JC, I have tutored 12 students from various schools between Secondary 4 to JC2 in a wide variety of subjects, including Math, Biology, and Chemistry. They have all shown great improvement under my tutelage, jumping multiple grade bands in the span of a few months. One student who scored a D in H2 Chemistry during JC1 sought my help in JC2 and ended up scoring an A at A Levels.

I emphasise building a solid foundational understanding of difficult subjects so that students can avoid simple conceptual errors and ensure that knowledge from difficult topics can be easily built on top of a solid knowledge base. A competent understanding of core concepts is what allows students to be able to tackle higher order thinking questions, and allows for subsequent progressions in subject mastery to be easily achieved.

I am patient and meticulous when tackling challenging topics, and eager to share my wealth of experience of the best answering and studying techniques used by top students in Singapore with any student who needs them.

I have effectively tutored many different types of students and I am able to adapt my tutoring style to the individual student, whether they are a fast or slow, motivated or undisciplined learner.

I stress again that parents should set realistic expectations of their children and that they should strive for a balance for the child's learning.
